have decided to extend the current contract while we keep
bargaining.

June 8, 2009 - We start bargaining a new
contract with Cornell June 8. Our current contract — which we
signed 4 years ago — expires the end of June. Like any
contract you need to review it, make improvements and sign a
new one.

very short compared to other Ivy League schools in the
wages paid to service and maintenance workers. As the charts show, the wages Cornell pays
food service workers and custodians are in the basement.
